KENYA GAME SAFARI
8 Days / 7 Nights
Day 1: - ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
Upon arrival in Nairobi, proceed through Immigration and Customs. After exiting the Customs & immigrations Hall, Please look out for an Aatithya Trip’s driver/guide holding an Aatithya Trip Banner with your name. On it. Our Guide will assist you with your luggage and you'll proceed towards the central highlands. Nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill in a 1,300- acre wildlife sanctuary, the Aberdare Country Club welcomes you for a sumptuous lunch. Here you'll store your luggage and take a small overnight bag with you up to the Ark. You'll depart at 1430hrs special buses into the thick woodlands to the Ark at the heart of the Aberdare National Park. Situated in a fairyland forest, you can stay up all night long, if you choose, game viewing from a variety of observations decks or an underground bunker. The Ark is situated beside a floodlit waterhole and natural saltlick, where a constant parade of wildlife will visit throughout the night. There's absolutely no limit to the number of animals you'll see. Birds and bushbuck are joined by Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Hyena or maybe Lion that may come to sample the saltlick

Day 2: - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, drive further north towards the highlands to the Samburu Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River and it occupies an area of 165km square. You arrive in time for lunch at your lodge in the Samburu Game Reserve. This afternoon you) have a game drive to view unusual species rarely seen outside of this region the main attractions of Samburu are the rich culture of the local communities, the beautiful landscape and wildlife. This region is the meeting point of the North and the South. It is in Samburu you will find the Northern and Southern dwelling species mixed. Good examples are the Grevy's Zebra which are found to the North of the equator and the common Zebra. Others are the Maasai and the Somali Ostrich. More so, Samburu offers some very unique species) which include the Gerenuk (giraffe ga-zelle), Beisa Oryx, Reticulated giraffe, blue necked Somali ostrich, Grevy's Zebra. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 3: -
SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
You'll set out on morning and afternoon game drives to observe Samburu's wildlife. All the big cats-Lions, Cheetah and Leopard are found here. Other mammals include elephant, Buffalo, Grant's gazelle, Kirk's Dik-dik, Impala, Waterbuck, warthogs, on the river banks are hippos and Nile Crocodiles. Bird enthusiasts will be rewarded with a wealth of species attracted to the palm tree-lined permanent waters of the river. Over 350 species of birds have been recorded in Samburu. These include Somali Ostrich, Kingfisher, Sunbird, Bee-eater, Marabou Stork, Tawny Eagle, Bateleur, Vultures. Game birds include the Helmeted and Vulturine Guinea fowls. Photographers will appreciate the dramatic backdrop of Ololokwe Mountain. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: - SWEETWATERS GAME RESERVE

After breakfast you will drive further to the north. A stop at the Equator gives you a chance to take a photo with one foot in the northern and one foot in the southern hemispheres. Then you're off to the heart of Kenya's "Big Game" country- Ol pejeta game ranch. This 22,000 acre private ranch encom -passes a rich terrain of plains, low hills and forest. Your afternoon game drive gives you an opportunity to see a variety of unusual species, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra and Beisa Oryx. Included is a visit to Jane Goodall's chimpanzee sanctuary.

Day 5
: - LAKE NAKURU
You will depart and descend into the Great Rift Valley to one of the world's most important bird sanctuaries. Lake Nakuru itself boasts the most spectacular of all of Africa's bird sights- enormous flocks of pastel pink flamingoes, as well as other bird species. Here you have wonderful opportunities for color photography as masses of pink bodies glide above the reflection of blue water. Lunch is at Lion Hill Lodge. Your afternoon game drive takes you through the lush green park that surrounds the lake. Many species including reedbuck, bushbuck, and wart hog, baboon, leopard and the Rothschild giraffe call this home. It has also been designated a rhino sanctuary.

Day 6: - MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast you will drive through the spectacular Great Rift Valley and then via Narok (the major Masai administrative centre) to one of the stellar events of your safari-The-Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya's most precious wildlife sanctuary. This is big game country and long famed as one of Africa's greatest concentrations of game. Plains games are found here in staggering numbers, which in turn supports a tremendous predator population. Lunch will be at Mara Simba. During your afternoon game drive, you have opportunities to see herds of impala, wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, topi, buffalo, wart hog, ostrich, as well as lion, cheetah, hyena, and possibly the elusive leopard.

Day 7: - MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

You will have Morning and afternoon game drives with mid morning at leisure where you get superb opportunities to engage in some of Maasaimaras. Optional activities including, Game drives, Bird/nature walks with Maasai Morans, Visiting Maasai villages, Cultural dances or even Maasai (Masai) Village visits. Today you will watch the hippos cavort, en masse, in the Mara River. There are usually over 50 of them, weighing in at over 8,000 pounds each. It is difficult to get a good picture of a hippo, as they very seldom come all the way out of the water. The Surprising reason for this is that their hide sunburns very easily. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Tonight you'll dream of all the wonders of Africa.

Day 8:- DEPARTURE TO HOMETOWN
Today you will return to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch and later you will be transferred to the home town.
