Day 1:- 
Arrive Auckland
On arrival in Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’ seat in coach passengers will be met by our local representative and privately transferred to your hotel Self drive passengers will collect your rental car at the airport and drive to your hotel.


Day 2:- Auckland - Bay of Islands
Travel north Over Auckland's Harbour Bridge and along the Hibiscus Coast. There is the opportunity to view mighty Kauri Trees enroute. The journey continues, travelling through Whangarei, Northland's only major city and port, before arriving in the beautiful Bay of Islands. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn about New Zealand's historic treaty signed between the British Crown and the Maori Chieftains. Following this, take a 'Hole in the Rock and Cape Brett' cruise. If you wish, you may disembark from this cruise in Romantic Russell and take some time to explore this historic town, returning to Paihia by ferry at your leisure ferry ticket included). (B)

Day 3:- Bay of Islands
Today is at your leisure to enjoy the Bay of Islands and Northland. You might like to book an Optional Cape Reinga & 90 Mile Beach day tour or take time to explore historic Russell or Kerikeri Optional activities not included in the tour price. (B)

Day 4:- Bay of Islands - Auckland
At leisure this morning to further explore this beautiful region. Later this afternoon return to Auckland. (B)

Day 5:- Auckland - Coromandel
Depart Auckland and travel the scenic route south to the Coromandel Peninsula. Visit the historic township of Thames, famous for its gold mining in the 1900's, and then continue over the spectacular, semi-tropical bush clad mountains to Pauanui. (B)

Day 6:- Coromandel
Visit the world famous Hot Water Beach where the hot water bubbles out of the sand so hot it can burn your feet! Take a gentle farmland walk to visit the beautiful Cathedral Cove for a walk or swim (optional boat transfer into Cathedral Cove can be arranged). After lunch (own expense), you will have a free afternoon. You might like to take a tour of the Whitianga Harbour by glass-bottomed boat if time permits. Optional activities not included in the tour price. (B)

Day 7:- Coromandel - Rotorua
Today you travel the scenic route through the Karangahake Gorge, a spectacular area with large cliffs covered in the world's largest tree ferns and native forest. Continue to the 'thermal city' of Rotorua. This evening enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. (B)


Day 8:- Rotorua
This morning visit Te Pula Thermal Preserve to see boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand's trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations,    cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry. This afternoon is at leisure. (B)


Day 9:- Rotorua - Napier
Travel south to reach Taupo before travelling over rugged mountain ranges and well cultivated farmland to arrive in the 'Art Deco' city of Napier. (B)


Day 10:- Napier
This morning is at your leisure to exp are Napier before joining an afternoon wine tour that will visit and include tastings at 3 local wineries. (B)


Day 11:- Napier - Wellington
Travel through the Manawatu Gorge to Palmerston North, before arriving in the 'Capital City' of Wellington. (B)

Day 12:- Wellington
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Wellington and a short guided tour of Te Papa (the 'Museum of New Zealand') before enjoying a free afternoon to explore New Zealand's capital city. (B)

Day 13:- Wellington - Nelson
Journey across Cook Strait, which separates the North and South Islands of New Zealand, and into the Marlborough Sounds with its sparkling clear waters and lush forests, before arriving in Picton. Continue to Nelson for a leisurely afternoon. (B)


Day 14:- Nelson
Today is at leisure to enjoy Nelson and the nearby Abel Tasman National Park. (B)


Day 15:- Nelson - Kaikoura
Leaving Nelson behind this morning to continue south to Kaikoura. This afternoon enjoy a whale watch cruise (subject to weather). (B)

Day 16:- Kaikoura - Christchurch
This morning is free in Kaikoura for optional activities, such as swim with the dolphins (optional activities not included). Continue south to Christchurch this afternoon. On arrival in Christchurch, enjoy a one hour tram pass to explore the city centre. (B)


Day 17:- Christchurch - Punakaiki - Greymouth
Depart Christchurch on the renowned Tranz Alpine Train (seat in coach passengers only), over the Southern Alps to Greymouth. This afternoon visit the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki. (B)


Day 18:- Greymouth - Glacier Region
Depart Greymouth and travel south along the Scenic West Coast, with views of both the Southern Alps and the Tasman Sea. Stop at Hokitika enroute where you can view greenstone carvers & glass blowers at work. Continue to the glacier region. (B)


Day 19:- Glacier Region - Wanaka
Travel down the West Coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the Haast Pass, gateway to the World Heritage Westland National Park. Continue around the shores of Lake Hawea to arrive in Wanaka early afternoon. (B)


Day 20:- Wanaka - Queenstown
This morning is free at your leisure    - optional activities include Puzzling World and scenic flights or short walks (optional activities not included). This afternoon continue to Queenstown. (B)

Day 21:- Queenstown
A free day to explore the endless optional activities available. Queenstown Offers bungy jumping, jetboating. White water, rafting, gondola rides and much more. Optional activities not included in the tour price. (B)


Day 22:- Queenstown - Te Anau
Depart Queenstown this morning for the short journey to Te Anau. Enjoy a free day in Te Anau today. Optional activities include travelling via the world famous Milford Sound or an excursion to the Te Anau glowworm caves. Optional activities not included in the tour price. (B)


Day 23:- Te Anau - Dunedin
Leave Te Anau this morning for a drive through historical Central Otago to the Scottish influenced city of Dunedin. (B)


Day 24:- Dunedin
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dunedin city. You may wish to take an optional tour to Otago Peninsula this afternoon to visit Larnach Castle or view the resident penguin or albatross colonies. Optional activities not included in the tour price. (B)


Day 25:- Dunedin - Christchurch
Depart Dunedin and travel north to the Garden City of Christchurch. This afternoon is at your leisure in Christchurch. (B)


Day 26:- Departure Day
Your arrangements conclude today with a departure transfer or the return of your rental car. We trust you enjoyed your Kiwiway vacation! (B)
